    JOINT SUPPORT FACILITY SEMBAWANG - "THIS MODIFICATION IS ISSUED IN RESPONSE TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. REPLY TO RFI 0176R: OVERFLOW/FLUSHING DRAIN FOR WATER TANKS. CURRENT DESIGN HAS OVERFLOW WATER DISCHARGING DIRECTLY ONTO THE PAVEMENT AND THIS MAY CAUSE EROSION AND OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS. A DRAIN LINE SHALL BE ADDED TO CONVEY DISCHARGE WATER TO THE NEAREST STORM DRAIN. 2. REPLY TO RFI 0197: INSTALLATION OF LOUVER FOR NEW SEF-5 ON WALL/WINDOW. INSTALLATION OF GOOSE NECK VENT WITH INSECT SCREEN FOR THE NEW SEF 5. 3. REPLY TO RFI 0151: WINDOW W104 AT GL K/5-6. EXISTING DOOR AND STAIR SHOULD BE DEMOLISHED TO FOLLOW CONTRACT DRAWINGS. 4. REPLY TO RFI 0202&RFI 0216: AIR-CONDITIONING AT 1ST FLOOR EXISTING COMM ROOM. CONTRACT DRAWING DOES NOT INCLUDE AIR-CONDITIONING OF THE ROOM. DUE TO CONCERNS FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF EQUIPMENTS INSIDE THE ROOM, INSTALLATION OF AIR-CONDITIONING WAS ADDED. REFER TO ATTACHED DETAILS FOR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AIR-CONDITIONING. 5. REPLY TO RFI 0190: ROOM FINISH SCHEDULE FOR OCCUPIED NON-RENOVATED AREA. CONTRACT DRAWINGS DID NOT INDICATE ANY KIND OF FINISH FOR SOME ROOMS. IN VIEW OF SAFETY CONCERNS FOR COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS ON FLOOR FINISH FOR STAIRCASES # 1 TO-#4 AND TO COMPLY WITH LOCAL FIRE CODE REQUIREMENTS THE FLOOR FINISH TO THESE STAIRCASES HAS TO BE REPLACED. REFER TO THE ATTACHED FINISH SCHEDULE FOR DETAILS OF THE FINISHES REQUIRED. 6. SITE INSTRUCTION: CONSTRUCTION OF FLUSH CURB/KERB ALONG THE PERIMETER OF THE ASPHALT PAVEMENT ON THE OPEN LOT AT THE WEST SIDE OF BLDG 6-4. TO IMPROVE SUPPORT TO THE EDGES OF THE PAVEMENT A REINFORCED CONCRETE FLUSHED KERB SHALL BE ADDED ALONG THE EDGES OF THE PAVEMENT. 7. PROVISION OF ADDITIONAL HOSE REELS. ADDED TO COMPLY WITH APPROVED FSSD DRAWINGS. 8. REPLY TO RFI 203: STREET MANUAL REMOVABLE BOLLARDS. THE CURRENT DESIGN WAS REPORTED BY AUSTRALIAN NAVY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THEIR EQUIPMENT PARTICULARLY FORKLIFTS&OTHER VEHICLE TYRES WHEN THEY RUN OVER THE BOLLARDS SUPPORT BASE. SO MODIFICATION TO THESE BOLLARDS SUPPORT BASES IS NEEDED. THE BOLLARD SUPPORT BASE SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH ITS TOP SURFACE FLUSHED WITH THE EXISTING SURFACE OF THE ROAD EXCEPT FOR THE BOLLARD SUPPORT BASES AT EACH END OF THE BARRIER SYSTEM WHICH SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED PER THE CURRENT CONTRACT DRAWINGS. 9. REPLY TO RFI 109: BEAMS FOR STAIRCASES 2&3. TO PROVIDE REINFORCEMENT FOR BEAMS AROUND THESE STAIRCASES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ATTACHED DETAILS. 10. MOD 00017: FIRE RATED VESTIBULES AND OTHER WORKS. ADDED TO COMPLY WITH LOCAL FIRE RATING REQUIREMENTS. SEE ATTACHED DETAILS FOR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS. 11. REPLY TO RFI 209: FIRE PUMP ROOM DRAIN/SCREEDING. NAVFAC FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER INDICATED THIS ROOM TO HAVE A FLOOR DRAIN, BUT THIS SCOPE OF WORK WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT DRAWINGS. RELEVANT CONTRACT DRAWINGS ARE REVISED TO SHOW THIS REQUIREMENT. 12. AFFIX FIRE ENGINE ACCESS MARKINGS. NOT INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT DRAWINGS BUT MUST BE ADDED TO COMPLY WITH LOCAL REQUIREMENTS. REFER TO ATTACHED REVISED CONTRACT DRAWINGS FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. 13. REPLY TO RFI 0205: FLOOR WATER PROOFING OF FIRST FLOOR STORAGE AREAS. HEAVY RAINS LEAD TO THE DISCOVERY OF WATER INGRESS FROM BASE OF FLOOR SLAB AT FIRST FLOOR STORAGE AREAS IN BUILDING 6-4. WATER PROOFING WAS APPLIED TO PREVENT WATER SEEPAGE. DETAILS OF WATERPROOFING REQUIRED ARE DESCRIBED IN THE ATTACHED RFI. 14. ADDITIONAL ITEMS BY RI: EMERGENCY LIGHTS, SIGNAGE S FOR PANIC DEVICES. AS INDICATED BY RI ADDITIONAL EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND SIGNAGE S IS REQUIRED IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS TO COMPLY WITH LOCAL REQUIREMENTS. 15. SITE INSTRUCTION: PAINTING OF PARKING LOT AT NEX AREA. TO COMPLY WITH LOCAL REQUIREMENTS ADDITIONAL PARKING SPACE IS ADDED. REFER TO REVISED SITE PLAN FOR DETAILS."
