    THE WORK IS AS FOLLOWS: A. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBCONTRACT WITH A CERTIFIED ASBESTOS ABATEMENT CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF THE THREE ASBESTOS CONTAINING PIPE GASKETS IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM OF THE GENERATOR IN BUILDING 85, AND THE 4 PIPE GASKETS IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM OF THE GENERATOR IN BUILDING 73. THE WORK SPECIFICALLY INCLUDES WORK AREA ENCLOSURE, MINI-ENCLOSURE/GLOVE BAG, AND DECONTAMINATION UNIT. EMPLOYEES OF THE ABATEMENT SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE RECEIVED ALL MEDICAL CLEARANCES, TRAINING AND POSES REQUIRED CREDENTIALS IN THE ATTACHED SPECIFICATION. SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AS WELL AS ALL REQUIRED PERSONNEL MONITORING AND OTHER MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND CONSUMABLES AS NECESSARY TO COMPLY WITH ALL PORTIONS OF THE SPECIFICATION. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL BE SPECIFICALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROPER DISPOSAL OF ALL ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIAL AND WASTE MATERIAL AS FURTHER SPECIFIED AND AS REQUIRED BY LAW. B. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBCONTRACT THE SERVICES OF AN AHERA CERTIFIED INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST FOR INDEPENDENT PROJECT MONITORING INCLUDING BUT NOT NECESSARILY LIMITED TO: 1) PRE-ABATEMENT SAMPLING; 2) DAILY PROJECT MONITORING; 3) POST ABATEMENT CLEARANCE MONITORING; AND 4) FINAL REPORT. C. THE WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE FOLLOWING ATTACHED SPECIFICATION: SPECIFICATION SECTION 02 82 13.13 GLOVEBAG ASBESTOS ABATEMENT DATED 02-11 IN ADDITION TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SPECIFICATION IDENTIFIED ABOVE ALL WORK SHALL ALSO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EXISTING PROJECT CONTRACT INCLUDING ALL DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS INCLUDING SUBMITTAL PROCESS FOR REQUIRED MATERIALS, AND COMMERCIAL TERMS.
