CLEANING OF LCN ANTHRACITE COAL MAPS HESE MINE MAPS DO NOT EXIST ANYWHERE ELSE OUTSIDE OF THE VAULT. BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBLE THREAT TO PERSONNEL THE MAPS CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM THE VAULT TO BE VIEWED OR SCANNED, AND THE DATA FROM THESE MAPS IS UNOBTAINABLE. WITHOUT SCANNING AND PLACING THE SCANS INTO THE NMMR ARCHIVES THERE IS A REAL POSSIBILITY THAT THESE MAPS WILL BE DESTROYED OVER TIME. WITHOUT THE CLEANING OF THE MAPS INFORMATION MAY BE PERMANENTLY LOST.
