    THE SHIMBERG CENTER FOR HOUSING STUDIES AT UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA WILL PREPARE AN ANALYTIC REPORT ESTIMATING EFFECTS LIHTC-FUNDED DEVELOPMENTS IN NORTHERN FLORIDA ON LOCATIONS OF HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER RECIPIENTS. HUD ADMINISTRATIVE DATA WILL BE LINKED TO THE FOLLOWING DATASETS THAT ONLY RESIDE TOGETHER AT UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA:A) THE ASSISTED HOUSING INVENTORY; B) THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING SUITABILITY MODEL; AND C) COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER DATA. THE RESULTING UNIQUE DATASET WILL PROVIDE THE BASIS FOR A REPORT THAT ADDRESSES AN IMPORTANT POLICY ISSUE, WHETHER LIHTC PROPERTIES PROVIDE VOUCHER HOLDERS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO RESIDE IN NEIGHBORHOODS WITH MORE INCOME DIVERSITY, LOWER CRIME AND HIGHER GRADED SCHOOLS THAN A COMPARISON GROUP OF VOUCHER HOLDERS OUTSIDE OF LIHTC SITES. THE REPORT IS POSSIBLE BECAUSE IT WILL BE BASED ON DATA ELEMENTS THAT ARE ONLY AVAILABLE AT THE SHIMBERG CENTER FOR HOUSING STUDIES AT UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA.
