    SBIR PHASE I -HF DIGITAL RECEIVER- THIS EFFORT WILL DEVELOP AN OVER-THE HORIZON (OTHR) RECEIVER DESIGN BASED ON MODEL ANALYSIS OF THE DESIRED RADAR MODES AND PERFORMANCE. THE WORK WILL BEGIN BY MODELING DESIRED MODES, GEOMETRIES, RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE (RFI), AND CLUTTER TO CREATE AN APPROXIMATE SIMULATION FROM WHICH RECEIVER DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS CAN BE CREATED. THE EFFORT WILL USE THE SPECIFICATIONS TO GUIDE THE ARCHITECTURE SELECTION AND TO CREATE A COMPLETE RECEIVER DESIGN THAT IS BASED ON STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGIES TO MAXIMIZE PERFORMANCE. THE CREATED DESIGN WILL THEN BE FULLY MODELED AND PERFORMANCE METRICS SUCH AS NOISE FIGURE, 3RD ORDER INTERMODULATION PRODUCT (IP3), AND DYNAMIC RANGE WILL BE EVALUATED. THE END RESULT IS A RECEIVER DESIGN THAT CAN BE PROTOTYPED IN PHASE II AND IS OPTIMIZED TO MEET THE OTHR REQUIREMENTS.
