NASA GODDARD REQUIRES ONSITE PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT TO PROVIDE STRATEGIC ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (OD) AND ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS (OE) SERVICES TO GUIDE OHCM, GODDARD ORGANIZATIONS, DIRECTORATES, DIVISIONS, OFFICES AND TEAMS THROUGH CULTURE AND ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE EFFORTS. FACILITATORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROCESS OF EACH DIALOGUE SESSION AND SHOULD ENCOURAGE FULL PARTICIPATION BY EACH GROUP MEMBER. FACILITATORS SHALL MANAGE THE PROCESS TO ENSURE THAT GROUND RULES AGREED UPON BY THE GROUP ARE HONORED. THE MAIN ROLE OF THE FACILITATOR IS TO PROVIDE PARTICIPANTS WITH A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR HONEST CONVERSATIONS TO OCCUR. DISCUSS DIFFERENCES BASED ON MANY DIMENSIONS OF DIVERSITY IN AN OPEN, NON-JUDGMENTAL, AND COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT; GAIN A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF DIVERSITY ISSUES AMONG CENTER EMPLOYEES; ENHANCE PERSONAL GROWTH AND EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH LISTENING, REFLECTION, AND DEVELOPING UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE FOR DIFFERING PERSPECTIVES. ASK QUESTIONS AND LEARN ABOUT DIFFERENCES AND CULTURES AS WELL AS CORRECT STEREOTYPES AND ERRONEOUS ASSUMPTIONS; LEARN HOW TO EFFECTIVELY AND APPROPRIATELY COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS. DISCUSS ATTITUDES, ASSUMPTIONS, AND STEREOTYPES IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. THE DDP FACILITATES A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF DIVERSITY ISSUES AMONG CENTER EMPLOYEES.
