    IGF::CT::IGF THE FEDERAL TRANSIT LAW REQUIRES THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION (FTA) TO REVIEW AND EVALUATE GRANTEES RECEIVING FEDERAL TRANSIT FUNDS UNDER THE URBANIZED AREA FORMULA GRANT PROGRAM, 49 U.S.C. 5307, AT LEAST ONCE EVERY THREE YEARS. THE ACT ALSO PROVIDES FOR FTA TO ENGAGE CONTRACTORS TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE SAME GRANTEES. THESE TRIENNIAL REVIEWS ARE ONE OF THE FTA S MANAGEMENT TOOLS FOR EXAMINING GRANTEE PERFORMANCE AND ADHERENCE TO CURRENT FTA REQUIREMENTS AND POLICIES. TRIENNIAL REVIEWS EXAMINE HOW GRANTEES MEET STATUTORY AND ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS.
