A CRITICAL PART OF THIS PROCESS IS THE ACCURATE MODELING OF NONLINEAR COMPONENTS AND INTERFACE STRUCTURES, STRUCTURES THAT CONNECT MAJOR SUBSTRUCTURES, AND THE QUANTIFICATION OF THEIR UNCERTAINTIES.
